Harmony Gardens is a family business, owned and operated by father-son team Calvin and Tilo Cross. We are a full service landscaping and property maintenance company in Richmond, Ontario, and have been in business for more than seven years.

At Harmony Gardens, we encourage healthy plant growth and maintaining a balanced ecosystem. Tilo has special knowledge in this area, as he graduated in 2001 from the University of Guelph- Kemptville as a Certified Horticulturist. Previous to that, he had several years of work experience in landscaping, nursery and greenhouse operations, before starting Harmony Gardens with his father in 2002. Calvin has a background in agriculture and property maintenance. He has a special interest in organic plant and produce production.

Tilo has been an avid gardener since he was a toddler, and was quite active in the Stittsville/Goulbourn Horticultural Society, winning many awards and ribbons for his flowers and vegetables. His passion for plant propagation continues in his personal greenhouse operations and gardens.

Although there is no legislation in Ontario requiring landscapers to be qualified, with Harmony Gardens you can benefit from Tilo’s education and expertise. A Horticulturist studies the science of plants, weeds, soil, ecology, plant diseases, insects, turf management, plant propagation, and plant identification. Practical skills are developed to ensure proper care of all plants from pruning to lawn care. Tilo offers consultations, and you will have the peace of mind that comes with hiring an expert in the field. Harmony Gardens is also a professional member of Landscape Ontario.
